What are Chakras?
Chakra in Sanskrit means wheel and refers to energy centres within the body of every living thing. There are 7 major chakras in our physical body, 5 in our energy field as well as numerous minor chakras throughout our bodies. Each chakra is associated with specific organs, endocrine, nerves, body systems, emotions, colours, frequencies and elements. The lower three (root, sacral, and solar plexus) call us to action. They ground us and are usually concerned with the material world. The higher three (throat, third eye and crown) are associated with self-reflection and the spiritual aspects of life. The heart chakra is the gateway between connecting the physical self to the spiritual self. It is our chakra system that creates the mind, body and spirit connection that we need to feel balanced in our lives. Below are information sheets on each chakra, if you would like a copy please let me know. |
