HOW DO I WANT TO FEEL?
A huge part of my planner is making choices based on how I want to feel and deciding what I need to include in my weeks to feel the way I want to feel (thank you Danielle Laport & the Desire Map for starting me down this way of living).
Sometimes choosing how you want to feel is easy, but sometimes you need a little inspiration.

Tips for choosing how you want to feel ...
- Write down or highlight the words that spark your interest
- Pull out a dictionary and look them up (some might surprise you)
- Don't overthink it
- Choose words for how you want to feel in all aspects of your life
- OR Choose a word for each of the areas of life (lifestyle/livelihood, body/wellness, relationships/community)
- Narrow the list down to 4-5 words that resonate in your heart and soul
- Sit with each word, write them out, put them on you fridge, or on a sticky note ... see how they feel
- Adjust the list when and if you need
- Trust what you are drawn to, it is what you need to feel right now!
WHAT WILL I DO TO FEEL THE WAY I WANT TO FEEL?
Now that you have decided how you want to feel, you need to come up with some ideas for what gives you that feeling.
For example, if you want to feel joyful connection then you need to plan ways to connect with people joyfully ... like a game night, or dinner; golf with friends; even a walk in the wood together with someone; playing at the lake; calling or texting a friend.
There is no limit to what you can choose to do, as long as it makes you feel in the end how you want to feel.

Essential Self-care
This is a place in you planner to plan your self-care for the coming week, what it will look like, what it will feel like, and when it will happen.
It is easy to get bogged down in the appointment side of planners and forget to take care of you, so make this a priority every week.

Nature = nurture
There are actual studies that show a correlation between time spent in nature and lower stress levels ... so making it part of your week is just as important as self-care. Heck it can even be part of your self-care.
Time in nature does not have to be some crazy outdoor activity (although it could be) ... sitting quietly by a creek is just as beneficial.

Words to live by
This is where you can jot down a quote that inspires you, an affirmation that you are focusing on or simply something that you heard that you want to ponder further.
My heart and soul are craving ...
What is it that you are craving most, deep down in your heart and soul ... ponder it for a moment, then make a plan for how to
i am grateful for ... because ...
Gratitude brings positivity and joy, but it is important to put into words why you are grateful for something ... this takes it deeper, and can help you appreciate things on a deeper level.
in the next 4 weeks i would like to ...
Make a plan. Is there something you have always wanted to do? Is there someone you want to see? Or a new skill you want to learn? Writing it down is the first step to committing to making it happen.
I hope that these tools and your planner help you to live your life in the best way possible!
